Koppenhaver Pleads Guilty to Assault
Jon Koppenhaver
(Pictures) pleaded guilty Thursday to
choking a man unconscious and punching him in the face on Sept. 2
outside a San Diego fitness center, the San Diego Union-Tribune
reported yesterday.
A battery charge against "War Machine," as Koppenhaver was known on the most recent season of "The Ultimate Fighter," was dismissed as part of the 26-year-old fighter's agreement to plead guilty to a felony assault charge.
Koppenhaver, 5-1, stopped Jared Rollins (Pictures) on Saturday at "The Ultimate Fighter 6" finale in Las Vegas. He had been eliminated in the first round of the Spike TV reality show.
The Union-Tribune reported that Koppenhaver's plea could result in a misdemeanor punishment. He is expected to be sentenced Feb. 7.
