Louis Gaudinot will take on Kyoji Horiguchi during the preliminary portion of UFC 182.

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the bout on Thursday. The pay-per-view takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Jan. 3 and features a light heavyweight title clash between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. In the evening’s co-headliner, Ronda Rousey defends her women’s bantamweight strap against Cat Zingano.

Guadinot will return to the Octagon after being forced out of his bout against Patrick Holohan for undisclosed reasons. The 30-year-old officially holds a (1-2) mark under the UFC banner, but most recently had a submission victory against Phil Harris at UFC Fight Night “Gustafsson vs. Manuwa” overturned after testing positive for a banned substance.

Horiguchi, a former Shooto champion, is currently riding a wave of momentum that comes in the form of an eight-fight win streak. The Krazy Bee team member most recently finished Jon delos Reyes at UFC Fight Night: “Hunt vs. Nelson,” and has prior UFC victories against the likes of Darrell Montague and Dustin Pague. The lone loss of his career came against Masakatsu Ueda in 2012.
