Bellator MMA has added a pair of bouts to its scheduled Dec. 2 Bellator 166 bill (online betting), which takes place at the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla.
Galvao, 34, took the Bellator bantamweight crown from Joe Warren via kneebar in March of last year, before losing the strap in a lopsided 25-minute rematch with former Nova Uniao teammate Eduardo Dantas the past June. The 36-year-old Davis put together a 3-0 mark in Bellator, with wins over Taurean Bogguess, Zeilton Rodrigues and Hideo Tokoro before falling via unanimous decision to the aforementioned Joe Warren in September 2015, and has not fought since.
The 28-year-old Honeycutt, a protege of fellow former Edinboro wrestler Josh Koscheck, suffered his first career loss to former Iowa Hawkeye wrestler Paul Bradley in just 40 seconds at Bellator 148 this past January. Since, Honeycutt has rebounded with consecutive unanimous verdicts over Matt Secor and Mikkel Parlo in April and June. Reiter suffered his first career loss to “Kiko” Francisco France at Bellator 146 last November, but rebounded in June at Bellator 156 by taking a 15-minute decision over A.J. Matthews.
Bellator 166's main card also features the headliner, as Bellator MMA bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas seeks to avenge his loss to former Greco-Roman wrestling world champion Joe Warren, while unbeaten prospect A.J. McKee meets Emmanuel Sanchez at 145 pounds.
Bellator 166's main card airs at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Spike, while its undercard streams live on Bellator.com and Spike.com.
