LFA 98 Weigh-in Results: Main Event Set, 2 Fighters Heavy

The first match of the Legacy Fighting Alliance middleweight semifinals is now official.

The LFA returns on Friday for its second card of 2021, and brings with it an event in LFA 98 that commences the middleweight tournament. The headliner is that tourney match, as Josh Fremd takes on Bruno Oliveira to advance. The winner will take on the victor of the Anthony Adams-Gregory Rodrigues semifinal that is set to take place at LFA 100 next month.

Undefeated within the LFA is Fremd (6-1). The 27-year-old is on a four-fight win streak and has notched two first-round knockouts over Antonio Jones and Lamar Gosey. Fremd will look to keep that streak going and reach the finals. The Factory X product officially weighed in 185.6 pounds.

Making his debut for the promotion is Oliveira (8-2). The 36-year-old fell short in his most recent bout as Carlos Ulberg knocked him out. Before that defeat to that defeat, the Brazilian notched three wins in a row. Oliveira looked prepared on the scales and came in at 185.2 pounds.

The seven-fight LFA 98 main card will air live on UFC Fight Pass starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. Prior to that, prelims will stream live on the LFA Facebook page.
