The main card for Legacy Fighting Championship 55 is set and will feature a heavyweight headliner between Justin Ledet and Brice Ritani-Coe.
The Texas-based promotion recently announced the lineup for the May 13 event, which also includes a 135-pound clash between UFC and WEC veteran Damacio Page and Ryan Hollis in the co-main event. Legacy FC 55 takes place at the Arena Theater in Houston and airs on AXS-TV at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
Ledet, who normally competes at light heavyweight, is 6-0 in his professional career, with all of his triumphs coming inside the distance. The 27-year-old Houston native returned to the sport after a nearly four-year absence on Feb. 27, when he submitted Jon Hill in the first round at Rage in the Cage 44. Ritani Coe is 1-1 under the Legacy FC banner and is coming off a second-round TKO loss to the UFC-bound Cody East in a heavyweight title fight in March 2015.
Page, the promotion’s flyweight champion, was forced to pull out of a title defense against Matt Schnell at Legacy FC 52 due to injury. The Jackson-Wink MMA product is 4-0 in Legacy, but suffered a submission loss to Alexandre Pantoja in his most recent outing at the RFA vs. Legacy Superfight event last May. Hollis, meanwhile, has split four bouts on the regional circuit since his last Legacy FC appearance. He owns a 2-4 mark in the promotion.
Five other bouts were announced for the Legacy FC 55 main card: Brandon Farran vs. Isaac Villanueva at middleweight; David Walters vs. Roberto Sanchez at flyweight; Edgar Juarez vs. Alex Black at featherweight; Humberto DeLeon vs. Adrian Yanez at banamweight; and Manny Lozoya vs. Dulani Perry at bantamweight.
