Texas-based Legacy Fighting Championship will be taking over the Bomb Factory in downtown Dallas Friday night with a bantamweight title fight serving as the main event. AXS TV will televise the main card live beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT and thanks to all of the fighters making weight on Thursday, the event was given the green light.

Reigning champion Manny Vasquez is looking to make the first defense of his title against Steven Peterson. Vasquez captured the crown in February when he submitted Ricardo Ramos via rear-naked choke in the first round at Legacy FC 51 and has won two in a row since suffering the only loss of his pro career.

At the weigh-ins, the champ looked ready to go as he officially checked in at 134.1 pounds. Peterson, a veteran of Bellator MMA, is riding a five-fight winning streak and is expected to give the titlist a run for his money. He also came in point, weighing in officially at 134.8 pounds.
