A matchup of champions Legacy Fighting Championship and Resurrection Fighting Alliance titlists will highlight the inaugural Legacy Fighting Alliance card on Jan. 13.

Legacy FC king Steven Peterson will meet RFA ruler Leandro Higo in a bantamweight championship unification bout in the LFA 1 main event at the Bomb Factory in Dallas. The card will air on AXS-TV at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Legacy FC and RFA announced a merger of the two promotions earlier this year after Legacy President Mick Maynard was hired by the UFC to fill a matchmaking position.

Peterson enters the matchup on a six-fight winning streak. The Plano, Texas, native last appeared at Legacy FC 56, where he submitted Manny Vazquez with a rear-naked choke 3:08 into the fourth round to capture 135-pound gold. Peterson is 14-4 as a professional, with 10 victories coming inside the distance.

Higo, meanwhile, is riding a seven-fight winning streak that includes three straight finishes under the RFA banner. Most recently, the Brazilian submitted Joey Miolla with a first-round rear-naked choke at RFA 37.
