Saying he signed with the UFC to prove himself against some of the best heavyweights in mixed martial arts, NCAA champion wrestler and former WWE star Brock Lesnar (Pictures) will soon find out where he stacks up.

The UFC on Monday announced that Lesnar (1-0) will fight former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir (Pictures) (10-3) Feb. 2 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Obviously I don't think I'm ready for a title shot right away," Lesar, 28, said when he was signed by the UFC in late October, "but I will be there, and I'm not gonna turn down any opponent because I'm here to prove myself. I'm not here to pick and choose my fights. I'll fight whomever they want. I don't make the fights; that's not my job. I've got one job to do and that's to fight."

In the 28-year-old Mir, Lesnar faces a powerful grappler whose speciality, submission fighting, saw him capture the UFC heavyweight crown by breaking an arm of then champion Tim Sylvia (Pictures) over three years ago.
