A light heavyweight bout featuring Corey Anderson versus Gian Villante has been added to UFC on Fox 15 on April 18.
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the matchup on Tuesday. The event takes place at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and is headlined by a middleweight bout pitting Lyoto Machida against Luke Rockhold.
Anderson, 25, has maintained a perfect record through five fights to start off his professional career. “Beastin’ 25/8” finished Matt Van Buren to win “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 19, and then parlayed his victory into a unanimous decision win against Justin Jones at UFC 181.
Villante, 29, has alternated between wins and losses in his four tilts under the UFC banner. A veteran of both Ring of Combat and Strikeforce, the New York native has finished seven of his 12 victories by knockout or TKO.
