Light Heavyweights Ed Herman, Igor Pokrajac Set for UFC 209 in Las Vegas

A pair of Octagon veterans will lock horns when Ed Herman meets Igor Pokrajac at UFC 209 in Las Vegas on March 4.

The promotion confirmed the light heavyweight pairing on Wednesday. UFC 209 takes place at T-Mobile Arena and is headlined by a welterweight championship rematch between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson.

Herman, 36, has alternated wins and losses in his last six UFC bouts. Most recently, “Short Fuse” suffered a second-round knockout loss to Nikita Krylov at UFC 201 last July. “The Ultimate Fighter 3” finalist is 10-8 with one no contest over the course of his promotional tenure.

Pokrajac returned to the Octagon after more than a year hiatus in April, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Jan Blachowicz at UFC Fight Night 86. The 37-year-old Croatian is 4-7 with one no contest in the UFC and 28-13 as a professional overall.
