Adam Piccolotti will square off against Goiti Yamauchi on the main card of Bellator 183 on Sept. 23.

The promotion announced the lightweight pairing on Tuesday. Bellator 183 takes place at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., and is headlined by a lightweight clash between Benson Henderson and Patricky Freire. The main card airs on Spike at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.

Additionally, Bellator Kickboxing 7 will also take place that evening, with a card topped by a welterweight championship tilt between Karim Ghajji and Raymond Daniels. That event will be broadcast via tape delay on Spike immediately following Bellator 184 on Oct. 6.

Piccolotti improved to 9-0 in his last promotional appearance, as he took a unanimous decision over Brandon Girtz at Bellator 165 on Nov. 19. The 28-year-old is now 5-0 in Bellator, including three triumphs via submission.

Yamauchi, meanwhile, bounced back from a loss to Bubba Jenkins at Bellator 151, to post consecutive first-round submissions of Ryan Couture and Valeriu Mircea in his last two outings. The 24-year-old Japanese fighter is 7-2 within the California-based organization and 21-3 as a professional overall.
