Lightweights Erik Koch, Drew Dober to Clash at UFC 203 in Cleveland

Erik Koch will lock horns with Drew Dober in a lightweight matchup at UFC 203 in Cleveland.

The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the pairing on Wednesday following an initial report from Cleveland.com. UFC 203 takes place on Sept. 10 at Quicken Loans Arena and is headlined by a heavyweight championship tilt between Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem.

Koch returned to action for the first time in two years at UFC Fight Night “Almeida vs. Garbrandt” in Las Vegas on May 29, when he submitted Shane Campbell with a second-round rear-naked choke. The 27-year-old Roufusport product is 4-3 during a promotional tenure that has included bouts at both lightweight and featherweight.

Meanwhile, Dober won for the first time since December 2014 when he outpointed Scott Holtzman at UFC 195 on Jan. 2. The Omaha, Neb., native is 2-3 with one no contest in UFC competition, with his other triumph coming against Jamie Varner at UFC on Fox 13.
