Australian prospect Jake Matthews will make his Octagon debut on June 28, when “The Ultimate Fighter Nations” alumnus will square off with fellow unbeaten talent Dashon Johnson at UFC Fight Night “Te Huna vs. Marquardt.”

UFC officials Wednesday announced the booking, which takes place at Vector Arena in Auckland. The event streams live on UFC Fight Pass and is headlined by a middleweight showdown between Nate Marquardt and James Te Huna.

Matthews was chosen to join Team Australia during the inaugural season of “TUF Nations” but was ousted from the welterweight tournament by Olivier Aubin-Mercier in the quarterfinal round. Minus that exhibition loss, “The Celtic Kid” has been perfect, notching four straight wins to begin his pro career.

Johnson has also been flawless through his nine-fight career, finishing eight of his victims inside the distance. “Fly Boy” was originally scheduled to return to action on June 6 against James Moontasri under the Resurrection Fighting Alliance banner, but the 26-year-old will instead search for his 10th straight win against Matthews three weeks later.
