Lightweights Joe Lauzon, Terry Etim Added to UFC on Fox 4 in Los Angeles

Joe Lauzon and Terry Etim will collide in a lightweight duel at UFC on Fox 4, promotion officials recently announced.

Six bouts have now been revealed for the Aug. 4 event, which takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Headlined by a pivotal middleweight matchup between Brian Stann and Hector Lombard, the main draw will air on Fox’s flagship network, while the preliminary card is expected to be broadcast on Fuel TV.

Lauzon had a two-fight winning streak snapped in his last outing, as he was knocked out by former World Extreme Cagefighting champion Anthony Pettis at UFC 144 in February. Prior to the defeat, the 27-year-old earned a pair of victories to close out 2011, submitting Curt Warburton with a kimura in June before tapping Melvin Guillard with a rear-naked choke last October at UFC 136.

Etim, meanwhile, returns to the cage after absorbing one of the more brutal knockout shots in recent memory courtesy of Edson Barboza. The Brazilian turned out Etim’s lights four months ago at UFC 142, clipping the Brit with a spinning wheel kick that knocked him stiff in the third round. Suffering from lingering injuries, Etim made his first Octagon appearance in 19 months this past November, submitting Edward Faaloloto with a guillotine choke in just 17 seconds at UFC 138.
