Brent Primus will face Gleristone “Toninho Furia” Santos in a lightweight tilt on the Bellator 153 main card on April 22.
The California-based promotion announced the pairing on Tuesday. Bellator 153 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and is headlined by a welterweight championship clash between Andrey Koreshkov and Benson Henderson. The evening’s main card airs on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
Primus, 30, is 6-0 as a professional, with four of those triumphs coming under the Bellator banner. The Sports Lab product has competed infrequently of late, winning one fight apiece in both 2014 and 2015. Most recently, he captured a split verdict over Derek Anderson at Bellator 141 last August.
Santos, meanwhile, came up short in his promotional debut, dropping a split decision to John Teixeira da Conceicao at Bellator 143 this past September. That defeat ended a nine-fight winning streak for the Brazilian Top Team member, who owns a 27-5 career mark overall.
