Yosdenis Cedeno will square off against Cody Pfister in a lightweight contest at UFC 189, promotion officials announced on Thursday.

UFC 189 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on July 11 and features a pair of title tilts, as Jose Aldo faces Conor McGregor for featherweight gold, while Robbie Lawler defends the welterweight strap against Rory MacDonald.

Anchored at the Blackzilians camp, Cedeno has lost two of his first three UFC bouts. Most recently, “Pink Panther” dropped a unanimous decision to Chad Laprise at UFC Fight Night “MacDonald vs. Saffiedine” on Oct. 4.

Pfister, meanwhile, came up short in his Octagon debut, as he was submitted by James Moontasri in the second round at UFC Fight Night “Henderson vs. Thatch” on Feb. 14. That setback ended an eight-fight unbeaten streak for the Amarillo, Texas, native.
