Lineup for Victory FC 58 Card on July 22 Finalized

Victory Fighting Championship is set to invade Baxter Arena in Omaha, Neb., on Saturday, July 22 and a pair of welterweights are slated to clash in a pivotal showdown. Longtime veteran Dakota Cochrane will square off against rising contender Maki Pitolo in the main event of VFC 58, which will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.

The Nebraska-based promotion finalized the roster for VFC 58, which will see eight bouts on the popular online platform.

Mike Plazola will collide with Alonzo Martinez in a lightweight co-feature, while featherweights Darrick Minner and Will Shutt will tango in the featured lead-in bout. Also, Cody Land will take on Kendrick Latchman in a catc-hweight affair; Cory Galloway and fellow bantamweight Terrence Almond will lock horns; flyweights Jeff Molina and Delfino Benitez will go toe-to-toe; and Bryce Logan will oppose Cody Carrillo at lightweight. Finally, Jaime Median will stand opposite Troy Nawrocki, also at 155 pounds.

Cochrane has been fighting professionally for nearly a decade. He rose to prominence when he was beaten in the elimination round of The Ultimate Fighter 15. From there, he bounced around the regional circuit, racking up several wins before signing with Titan FC. After a win for that promotion, Cochrane spent the bulk of his career for the now-defunct RFA, where he challenged for the inaugural lightweight title. The Nebraska native, who also fought for Bellator, has won his last four, three via submission.

Though he struggled a bit out of the gate when he turned pro, Pitolo has been on a tear. “Coconut Bomz” won seven in a row, with five of those triumphs coming by way of submission or knockout. He won his first three bouts under the VFC banner, but the Hawaiian was knocked out in the second round by Kassius Holdorf in his last outing, which was in December.

The action will go live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
