Lion Fight 26 Weigh-in Results: Chasteen, Hasanov On Point

By Mike Sloan Nov 19, 2015
With the original main event between Tetsuya Yamato and Greg Wootton falling through after Wootton was not cleared medically a few days ago, the heads at Lion Fight scrambled to keep the event afloat. Yamato declined a few last-minute replacements, but with the card already at the point of no return, Scott Kent & Co. plopped the battle between Nick Chasteen and Turan Hasanov as the featured bout.

At Thursday’s weigh-in, all of the main card fighters were able to make weight, allowing the altered card to go on as planned.

Hasanov was the first of the two main combatants to hit the scale and he nailed it, weighing 142 pounds. Chasteen was equally as prepared; he came in a pound lighter than his foe.

The co-featured bout between Victor Saravia and John Nofer is expected to be a barnburner and both men looked flawless on the scale. Both fighters officially weighed in at 122 pounds.

Lion Fight 26 takes place at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. The event will air live on AXS TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
