A women’s bantamweight duel pitting Liz Carmouche against Alexis Davis has been added to UFC Fight Night 31 “Fight for the Troops 3.”

UFC officials confirmed the matchup on Friday via Twitter. Fight Night 31 takes place Nov. 6 at Fort Campbell in Hopkinsville, Ky., and is headlined by Lyoto Machida’s middleweight debut, as the onetime light heavyweight champion takes on former two-time Strikeforce title challenger Tim Kennedy.

Carmouche, 29, has won three of her last four fights, joining the UFC earlier this year on the heels of back-to-back wins in the Invicta Fighting Championships cage. Though “Girl-Rilla” came up short in her bid to capture the UFC bantamweight crown from Ronda Rousey, Carmouche responded with an excellent performance against Jessica Andrade, pounding out the Brazilian prospect this past July at UFC on Fox 8.

Davis, meanwhile, rides a three-fight winning streak into her clash with Carmouche, most recently outpointing Rosi Sexton three months ago at UFC 161. Prior to that successful Octagon debut, the Canadian posted back-to-back victories under the Invicta banner, scoring rear-naked choke finishes of veterans Hitomi Akano and Shayna Baszler.
