Liz Carmouche and Alexis Davis will make the move to flyweight for their matchup at UFC Fight Night 123 in Fresno, Calif, promotion officials announced Thursday.
Additionally, Antonio Braga Neto will meet Trevin Giles at middleweight, while Alex Perez will face Carls John de Tomas at flyweight on the Dec. 9 card at the Save Mart Center. UFC Fight Night 123 will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
Carmouche, who challenged Ronda Rousey for the bantamweight crown in the first women’s bout in UFC history, is riding a two-fight winning streak. “Girl-Rilla” garnered a unanimous verdict over Lauren Murphy at UFC Fight Night 63 in April 2015 before taking a split decision against Katyln Chookagian at UFC 205 last November.
Davis also challenged for 135-pound gold, falling to Rousey in 16 seconds at UFC 175. She has won two of her three Octagon appearances since that defeat, including a decision triumph over Cindy Dandois at UFC Fight Night 108 on April 22.
