Bellator Fighting Championships middleweight titleholder
Hector Lombard tipped the scales at 185.5 pounds for his non-title main event against
Herbert Goodman (183.5) at Bellator 24 on Thursday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla. The two men hit the scales with 12 other fighters at Wednesday’s official weigh-in.
Lombard will carry a 14-fight winning streak into the match. The Cuban-born 32-year-old last appeared in May, when he knocked out UFC veteran
Jay Silva in six seconds at Bellator 18. A black belt in judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Lombard has delivered more than half (13) of his 25 career victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission. In 29 professional mixed martial arts appearances, the American Top Team rep has never been finished.
Goodman spent two seasons in the NFL as a running back and kick returner with the Green Bay Packers. The 32-year-old Miami, Fla., native has posted six wins in seven appearances and needed just 87 seconds to stop
Mike Suttles on first-round punches at a Cool City Fight Promotions show on July 24. Goodman owns notable victories against UFC veterans
Dante Rivera and
Jordan Radev.
