Mairbek Taisumov will clash with Joaquim Silva at UFC Fight Night 109 on May 28.
Promotion officials announced the lightweight pairing on Wednesday. UFC Fight Night 109 takes place in Stockholm and is headlined by a light heavyweight duel between Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira.
Taisumov has won four straight, finishing each of his last four Octagon opponents by knockout or technical knockout. The 28-year-old Russian is 5-1 in the UFC, with his lone defeat coming to Michel Prazeres via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 38.
Silva, meanwhile, is unbeaten in nine professional appearances, including two in the UFC. Most recently, “Netto BJJ” knocked out Andrew Holbrook in 34 seconds at “The Ultimate Fighter 23” finale this past July.
