Marcos Galvao and Eduardo Dantas will square off in the Bellator MMA cage once again -- this time with the roles reversed.

The California-based promotion announced on Wednesday that Galvao will defend his bantamweight title against Dantas in the headliner of Bellator 144 on Oct. 23. The event takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and airs on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.

The two Brazilians first fought in February 2014, with Dantas defending his 135-pound strap via second-round knockout at Bellator 89. Dantas would relinquish the title against Joe Warren at Bellator 128 this past October, but he returned to the win column with a three-round verdict over Mike Richman in his last outing at Bellator 137.

Galvao, meanwhile, has won four straight since the loss to Dantas. He captured bantamweight gold with a second-round kneebar of Warren at Bellator 135 on March 27, a win which also avenged a controversial loss to “The Baddest Man on the Planet” in his promotional debut. Galvao has compiled a 7-3 record during his Bellator tenure.
