A bantamweight title clash between Marcos Galvao and Eduardo Dantas has been rebooked for the Bellator 150 headliner on Feb. 26.
The California-based promotion announced the rematch during the broadcast of Bellator 147 on Friday night. Bellator 150 will take place at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kan., and will also see David Rickels face an as yet-to-be-named opponent.
The bantamweight title rematch was originally scheduled for Bellator 144, but was postponed when Dantas was forced to withdraw after suffering a rib injury in training. Dantas defeated Galvao via second-round knockout in their first meeting at Bellator 89 when “Dudu” was the promotion’s reigning 135-pound champ.
Galvao has won four straight fights since then, capturing bantamweight gold with a kneebar submission of Joe Warren in his most recent outing at Bellator 135. After losing the strap to Joe Warren at Bellator 128, Dantas returned to the win column in May, capturing a unanimous decision over Mike Richman.
