Mark Hunt to Face Justin Willis at UFC Fight Night Adelaide on Dec. 1

Mark Hunt’s request for a farewell UFC fight Down Under has been granted, as the veteran heavyweight will face Justin Willis at UFC Fight Night 142.

Willis confirmed the pairing via Instagram following an initial report from ESPN.com. UFC Fight Night 142 takes place at Adelaide Entertainment Center in Adelaide, Australia on Dec. 1 and also includes a heavyweight tilt pitting Junior dos Santos against Tai Tuivasa. The card will likely air on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Hunt, 44, has won just once in his last five Octagon appearance. Most recently, “The Super Samoan” was submitted in the first round by Alexey Oleynik in the UFC Fight Night Moscow headliner on Sept. 15. Hunt is entering the last fight on his UFC deal and has repeatedly stated he will part ways with the promotion once his contract is fulfilled.

Willis, meanwhile, is an emerging talent riding a seven-fight winning streak — including three triumphs in the UFC. In his most recent outing, the American Kickboxing Academy product outpointed Chase Sherman at UFC Fight Night 128.
