Former UFC middleweight title challenger
Nathan Marquardt (Pictures) returns to the Octagon June 7 in London versus once-beaten
Thales Leites (Pictures),
according to published reports.
The 185-pound fighters were scheduled to fight in early February. Leites, a 26-year-old fighter out of the Nova Uniao camp, gave up his
undefeated record to
Martin Kampmann (Pictures) in November 2006. He has rebounded to win three in a row inside the UFC, increasing his overall record to 12-1.
After running into
Anderson Silva last July, the 28-year-old Marquardt (26-7-2) came back to stop
Jeremy Horn (Pictures) on the Feb. 2 card he was originally slated to fight Leites, who was forced to withdraw due to an injured hand.
The competitive middleweight tilt joins the undercard of UFC's next UK-based card, which is headlined by a light heavyweight contest
featuring
Chuck Liddell (Pictures) and
Rashad Evans (Pictures).
