Matt Hamill will fight Vinny Magalhaes in a light heavyweight contest at WSOF 20. In addition, Melvin Guillard will meet Ozzy Dugulubgov in lightweight action on April 10.
World Series of Fighting officials confirmed the pairings to Sherdog.com on Thursday. The fights are expected to be announced during the World Series of Fighting 18 telecast.
The card will take place at Foxwoods Resort and Casino, in Ledyard, Conn., and will air live on NBC Sports Network, much like the recently announced World Series of Fighting 21 event.
Hamill, 38, will be making his first mixed martial arts appearance since 2013, when he was defeated by Thiago Silva at UFC Fight Night “Maia vs. Shields.” After retiring in 2011, “The Hammer” called it quits a second time in July of last year, but will now return for the Las Vegas-based promotion.
Magalhaes, 30, was last in action against Jason Brilz, where he claimed the Titan Fighting Championship’s light heavyweight crown. A five-fight UFC veteran, “Pezao” has been quite busy as of late, also competing against Matheus Diniz at Metamoris 5.
The co-main event of the evening will feature Guillard looking to bounce back from his defeat against Justin Gaethje at WSOF 15. A veteran of 50 professional fights, “The Young Assassin” has finished 23 of his 32 wins.
Dugulubgov, 26, is coming off an impressive knockout win of Keon Caldwell at WSOF 13. The New Jersey native will be making his fifth appearance under the Ray Sefo-led promotion’s banner.
