Max Holloway will be a large betting favorite to retain his featherweight crown when he faces Frankie Edgar at UFC 222 later this year.

According to oddsmaker Bovada, Holloway has opened as a -280 favorite for his second 145-pound title defense. Edgar, meanwhile, in his third attempt at claiming UFC featherweight gold, is listed at +225. UFC 222 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 3.

Holloway and Edgar were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 218 on Dec. 2, but “The Answer was forced to withdraw from that contest after suffering a fractured orbital in training. Instead, Holloway stopped longtime former featherweight king Jose Aldo in the third frame, increasing his current winning streak to 12.

After falling to Aldo in an interim title bid at UFC 200, Edgar has rebounded to post back-to-back triumphs over Jeremy Stephens and Yair Rodriguez. The Ricardo Almeida Jiu-Jitsu representative also challenged for the belt at UFC 156 in February 2013, losing to Aldo via five-round decision.
