Mayweather-McGregor Medical Suspensions: McGregor Facing 60 Days on the Shelf

Jordan BreenAug 28, 2017

It certainly won't interfere with any Ultimate Fighting Championship title defense, but lightweight king Conor McGregor is officially on the shelf for two months following his Saturday night loss to Floyd Mayweather in the historical “Money Fight.”

According to a list of medical suspensions released Monday by the Nevada Athletic Commission, McGregor has been suspended until Oct. 26 with no contact until Oct. 11. “The Notorious” one was stopped by a flurry of Mayweather punches at 1:05 of the 10th round on Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

After reaching the 50-0 mark in his pro boxing career and in a testament to his defensive prowess, Floyd Mayweather retires without any medical suspension.
