A pair of lightweight contenders will lock horns when the UFC travels to Nashville on Aug. 8, as Michael Johnson will face Beneil Dariush in a featured 155-pound tilt.

A UFC official confirmed the matchup on Friday following an initial report from FoxSports.com. The UFC Fight Night bill takes place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and is headlined by a light heavyweight encounter pitting Ovince St. Preux against Glover Teixeira.

Johnson, 29, has won four consecutive fights in the Octagon. The Blackzilians member last appeared at UFC Fight Night “Bigfoot vs. Mir,” where he captured a unanimous decision triumph over Edson Barboza. “The Menace” has also bested Melvin Guillard, Gleison Tibau and Joe Lauzon during his current streak.

Dariush, meanwhile, has been victorious in five of his six promotional appearances. The 26-year-old Kings MMA product is 2-0 thus far in 2015, with a second-round submission of Daron Cruickshank at UFC 185 and a three-round verdict over Jim Miller at UFC on Fox 15 to his credit.
