An injury to Mike Kyle has forced World Series of Fighting officials to cancel his light heavyweight headliner against Anthony Johnson at WSOF 7.

WSOF officials announced Thursday that Kyle broke one of his toes in training and would be unable to compete as expected at the Dec. 7 event, which takes place at PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia.

“I’m as disappointed as anyone that we’re forced to cancel this fight, but Mike just could not compete with his broken toe, and we simply could not find a suitable opponent for Anthony on such short notice,” WSOF President Ray Sefo stated in the official release.

The NBC Sports Network-broadcast main card will now be topped by a 145-pound title showdown between Georgi Karakhanyan and Lance Palmer. Prior to the main card telecast, the WSOF 7 prelims will stream live and free on Sherdog.com.
