Perry last competed at UFC Fight Night 108, where he authored a “Knockout of the Year” candidate when he finished Jake Ellenberger with a brutal standing elbow 1:08 into the second round of their encounter on April 22. “Platinum” is 3-1 in the Octagon and 10-1 as a professional overall, with all of his victories coming via knockout or technical knockout.
Alves, who challenged Georges St. Pierre for the 170-pound title in June 2009, returned to the welterweight division at UFC 210, where he captured a three-round verdict against Patrick Cote. The 33-year-old Brazilian attempted a move to 155 pounds at UFC 205, but he failed to make weight and dropped a unanimous decision to Jim Miller. “Pitbull” is 14-8 during his promotional tenure and 22-11 as a professional overall.
