Mike Perry will get back to the Octagon quickly after an explosive debut at UFC 202.
Promotion officials announced Friday that Perry will lock horns with British prospect Danny Roberts in a welterweight bout at UFC 204 in Manchester on Oct. 8. The card takes place at Manchester Arena and is headlined by a middleweight title clash between Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson.
Perry turned heads in his first promotional foray, as he floored Hyun Gyu Lim three times en route to winning via technical knockout 3:38 into the opening stanza of their UFC 202 showdown this past Saturday. “Platinum” is 8-0 as a professional, with all of his triumphs coming by KO or TKO.
Roberts enters the matchup on a seven-fight winning streak, including triumphs over Nathan Coy and Dominique Steele to begin his UFC tenure. “Hot Chocolate” is 13-1 over the course of a career that began in 2010. Five of his wins have come by KO/TKO and five via submission.
