Mike Swick-DaMarques Johnson Replaces Rothwell-Browne on UFC on Fox 4 Main Card

A planned heavyweight collision between former IFL standout Ben Rothwell and undefeated prospect Travis Browne has been removed from the UFC on Fox 4 bill after Rothwell sustained a training injury.

Instead, the evening’s main draw will feature a welterweight scrap pitting “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 9 runner-up DaMarques Johnson against returning veteran Mike Swick.

UFC on Fox 4 marks the Las Vegas-based promotion’s third event on Fox’s flagship network in 2012 and is headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between former champion Mauricio Rua and Brandon Vera.

Johnson has alternated wins and losses in his last six fights. After posting a 2-1 Octagon record in 2011, “Darkness” began 2012 with a defeat, submitting to a John Maguire armbar at UFC on Fuel TV 2. The 30-year-old is an eight-time UFC veteran and owns career wins over Clay Harvison, Michael Guymon and Brad Blackburn.

Swick, 33, steps back into the cage for the first time since February 2010. Before being sidelined by injury and illness, Swick had dropped back-to-back bouts to Dan Hardy and Paulo Thiago. The skid snapped a four-fight surge for “Quick,” during which the “TUF 1” alum bested Josh Burkman, Marcus Davis, Jonathan Goulet and Ben Saunders.
