With reigning bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger signed by the UFC to fight Cristiane Justino at UFC 214 and summarily released from her Invicta FC contract in the process, the Missouri-based promotion moved swiftly to replace Invicta FC 24’s featured bout.
Originally slated for the co-main event, UFC veteran Milana Dudieva will take on Mara Romero Borella in a flyweight contest. The matchup anchors Invicta FC 24, which goes down July 15 at Kansas City Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo. The action will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
The bantamweight tussle between Raquel Pa’aluhi and Yana Kunitskaya has been bumped up to the co-feature slot. Invicta FC officials are actively searching to replace Evinger for original opponent Helena Kolesnyk.
Dudieva will make her Invicta FC debut following a three-bout stint in the UFC that saw her take a split verdict over Elizabeth Phillips before falling to Julianna Pena and Marion Reneau via technical knockout. A native of Italy, the 31-year-old Borella is unbeaten in her last five outings and is 8-4 as a professional overall.
