The Rizin open-weight grand prix quarterfinal showdown between Mirko Filipovic and Wanderlei Silva will not be taking place as expected, and “Cro Cop” is none too happy about it.

Filipovic blasted Silva, calling him a “scared bitch” on his official Facebook account after the Japanese promotion announced that “The Axe Murderer” had withdrawn from the bracket. No reason was given for Silva’s exit.

The quarterfinals of the Rizin open-weight grand prix take place on Dec. 29 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, while the semifinals and finals are set for Rizin 4 on Dec. 31 at the same venue. A replacement opponent for Filipovic has not been announced.

Filipovic and Silva fought twice under the Pride Fighting Championship banner. Their first meeting at at Pride 20 “Armed and Ready” resulted in a draw, while “Crop Cop” won the rematch at Pride “Final Conflict Absolute” via first-round knockout.
