The UFC 202 lineup continues to get stronger, as promotion officials on Tuesday evening confirmed a welterweight matchup between Neil Magny and Dong Hyun Kim for the Aug. 20 card.
UFC 202 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a 170-pound rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor. The pay-per-view event will also include a pivotal light heavyweight showdown between Anthony Johnson and Glover Teixeira.
After losing two of his first three UFC bouts, the 28-year-old Magny has been on a roll in the Octagon, winning 10 of his next 11 promotional appearances. His only setback during that time came via second-round submission against Demian Maia at UFC 190. The Grudge Training Center product has since rebounded to best Erick Silva, Kelvin Gastelum and Hector Lombard in succession.
Kim, meanwhile, will return to action for the first time since UFC Night in Seoul, where he stopped Dominic Waters in the opening stanza this past November. “Stun Gun” has won six of his last seven overall, falling only to current No. 1 contender Tyron Woodley via first-round TKO in August 2014.
