Roy Nelson and
Brendan Schaub will vie for the title of “
The Ultimate Fighter” at the Spike TV show’s live season finale this Saturday at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Nelson, a former IFL heavyweight champion, advanced to the finals with a second-round technical knockout over
Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, a two-round majority decision against
Justin Wren, and a first-round TKO over
James McSweeney in the semi-finals.
Former NFL footballer Schaub’s road to the finals included a first-round submission against
Demico Rogers, a second-round knockout over
Jon Madsen, and a first-round technical knockout against
Marcus Jones.
Also on the card, Kimbo Slice will face
Houston Alexander in a 215-pound catch-weight bout, while semi-finalist
Marcus Jones meets
Matt Mitrione.
