Demetrious Johnson will get to for an Ultimate Fighting Championship record 11th straight title defense before 2017 closes out.
Johnson was scheduled to defend his flyweight crown against Borg in the main event of UFC 215 on Sept. 7 in Edmonton, Alberta. Two days before the card, Borg was pulled from the bill due to illness, which the 24-year-old claimed wasn't related to an adverse weight cut. Headed into UFC 215, Borg had missed the 125-pound limit in two of his previous four bouts.
Both the structure of the newly-released UFC 216 poster as well as the official bout order affirm that Johnson's potential record-breaking defense will be the co-headliner of the pay-per-view, while the previously announced UFC interim lightweight title bout between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee will main event.
Johnson is presently tied with all-time middleweight great Anderson Silva with 10 consecutive UFC title defenses.
