Lightweight prospect Eddie Ng and Dutch striker Vincent Latoel will square off in the co-main event of One FC 16 “Honor and Glory,” the Singapore-based organization announced Monday.
The 155-pound bout bolsters a May 30 card at Singapore Indoor Stadium which will be headlined by ex-Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren’s promotional debut against Bakhtiyar Abbasov.
Also confirmed for the card was a pair of featherweight bouts, with former One FC titlist Honorio Banario meeting Mongolian import Jadamba Narantungalag, and Bruno Pucci facing Major Overall in a battle of unbeatens.
Born in England and fighting out of Singapore, Ng is 7-1 overall and 4-0 inside the One FC cage with three first-round finishes. “The Magician” has secured his last two victories via armbar, submitting Arnaud Lepont and Peter Davis.
Latoel owns a .500 record and nearly four times the MMA experience of his younger opponent. The Golden Glory fighter returned from a four-year absence in 2013 and has gone 1-1 under the One FC banner, most recently dropping a decision to Filipino star Eduard Folayang.
