Nick Newell will make his sophomore World Series of Fighting effort on Dec. 7, when the undefeated lightweight takes on nine-fight pro Sabah Fadai at WSOF 7.
Newell, a congenital amputee whose left arm ends just below his elbow, has been perfect as a mixed martial artist in his four years of competition, winning the Florida-based Xtreme Fighting Championships’ lightweight title last year before signing with the WSOF and earning a first-round submission victory over Keon Caldwell this past August at WSOF 4.
One year older than his opponent, Fadai has finished all seven of his victims by either knockout or submission, registering two defeats and a no-contest along the way. Fadai last competed one year ago, when he earned a first-round submission over Cody Krahn under Alberta’s Maximum Fighting Championship banner.
