Omari Akhmedov will face Abdul Razak Alhassan in a welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night 109 in Stockholm.
Promotion officials confirmed the pairing on Wednesday. UFC Fight Night 109 takes place at Ericsson Globe on May 28 and is headlined by a light heavyweight tilt between Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira. The evening’s main card will air on Fox Sports 1.
Akhmedov halted a two-fight skid in his last outing at UFC Fight Night 101 when he garnered a unanimous verdict over Kyle Noke on Nov. 26. The 29-year-old Dagestani fighter is 4-3 during his promotional tenure and 16-4 as a professional overall.
Alhassan, meanwhile, improved his career mark to 7-0 with a 53-second knockout of Charlie Ward in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 99 this past November. The 31-year-old has finished all of his opponents inside of a round, with five of those triumphs coming within one minute.
