One Championship ‘Tigers of Asia’ to be Headlined by Middleweight Title Scrap

Asian mixed martial arts leader One Championship on Thursday morning revealed matchups for its Oct. 9 show at Putra Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The card will be topped by a middleweight championship fight as Igor Svirid will put his title on the line against Vitaly Bigdash. Also, it was confirmed that Ann Osman would battle Irina Mazepa, Ev Ting will collide with Honorio Banario and Peter Davis will lock horns with Adrian Pang.

Svirid, 10-1, of Kazakhstan, captured the One middleweight crown with a 17-second beating of Leandro Ataides last November. Bigdash, 7-0, of Russia, has finished all seven of his opponents as a professional mixed martial artist.

The contest will be Svirid’s first attempt to defend the title.

Oct. 9’s One Championship card will stream live globally via Internet pay-per-view.
