One Championship to Stream Select Bouts via Twitter Beginning with Saturday’s Event

Singapore-based mixed martial arts promotion One Championship has announced that it will stream some fights via Twitter for all of its 2018 events.

The partnership will begin on Saturday for One Championship “Kings of Courage,” as two main card bouts — Victorio Senduk vs. Yohan Mulia Legowo and Yusup Saadulaev vs. Masakazu Imanari — and three preliminary contests will be available to view on the popular social media platform.

One Championship is scheduled to hold 24 events over the course of 2018, and the partnership with Twitter will include all of those offerings. It is not clear how many bouts per card will be available.

“I am thrilled to announce One Championship’s partnership with social media platform, Twitter. This will allow us to further showcase the beauty of martial arts to a global audience,” One Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong said in a release. “This partnership signifies the two companies’ commitment to developing martial arts in Asia and extend the reach of our exciting live and digital content. Martial arts fans, particularly those on the Twitter platform, will be able to enjoy free ONE Championship bouts while engaging in real-time conversation.”

“Kings of Courage” takes place at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarata, Indonesia, and will feature a women’s strawweight title bout between Tiffany Teo and Jingnan Xiong.
