UFC veteran Caros Fodor has been added to the One Fighting Championship’s September show in Indonesia.
Three new contests were announced Friday in addition to the Fodor-Ho lightweight showdown, including a heavyweight pairing of Cameroonian-born muay Thai champion Alain Ngalani and Egyptian talent Mahmoud Hassan. Additionally, Max Metino will take on Long Sophy, while Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Almiro Barros locks horns with Australian Kian Pham.
Fodor, 29, exited the UFC earlier this year following a hard-fought split decision defeat to Sam Stout in his Octagon debut. Prior to that setback, the Washingtonian had posted a 5-1 record under the Strikeforce banner, besting the likes of James Terry and Justin Wilcox before stumbling against Pat Healy in his final fight with the promotion.
Six years younger than his opponent, Yang has yet to fall in his professional career, posting six consecutive victories in five years. “Tommy” last competed on Feb. 9, when he submitted Tunisian competitor Waleed Trabolse under the Gladiator Fighting Championship banner in Kuwait.
