A women’s confrontation between former boxing champion Ana Julaton and four-fight pro Aya Saeid Saber has finalized the One FC 15 fight card.
One FC officials Tuesday announced the booking, which takes place May 2 at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. The event streams live via online pay-per-view at onefc.livesport.tv and is headlined by a bantamweight title showdown between reigning champion Bibiano Fernandes and ex-Shooto ruler Masakatsu Ueda.
Julaton will make her mixed martial arts debut after competing 18 times as a professional boxer. The 33-year-old Californian began her career as a pugilist in 2007 and then won the World Boxing Organization super bantamweight title in 2009. “The Hurricane” holds an overall record of 13-4-1 and last competed in November, when she took a majority decision over Perla Hernandez.
Saber makes her One FC debut with four mixed martial arts bouts under her belt. The Egyptian began her career in 2012 with a victory but has since lost three straight, most recently submitting to a front choke roughly one year ago under the Egyptian Fighting Championship banner.
