One Fighting Championship has announced three bouts for its “Roar of Tigers” event on Oct. 17.
The show’s main event will feature featherweights Marat Gafurov and Rob Lisita, while the co-main event will pit Ev Ting against Edward Kelly. A third bout between Stephen Langdown and Raymond Tan was also announced on Tuesday. The pay-per-view card takes place at Putra Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“We are coming back to the capital of Malaysia to put on one of the greatest fight cards the city has seen to date,” One FC President Victor Cui stated in a press release. “Marat Gafurov and Rob Lisita are two of the best featherweights in the world. Both of them have a penchant for putting on exciting battles, and I think the fans will be in for a treat.”
Gafurov is undefeated in eight fights and, prior to signing with One FC, was the reigning M-1 Global featherweight champion. In Lisita, he will take on an Australian who has won seven of his last nine contests.
Ting has opened up his professional MMA career winning seven of nine fights. The Malaysian-born fighter made a successful promotional debut by knocking out Yohan Mulia Legowo in June. Kelly owns a record of 5-1, his last outing ending in a submission loss to Herbert Burns at One FC “Moment of Truth.”
