One Fighting Championships’ Oct. 31 event has been moved to Dec. 14.
One FC CEO Victor Cui recently announced the news via Facebook, stating the change would give the promotion the opportunity to hold two events in mainland China in 2014. One FC “Dynasty of Champions” is still scheduled to take place at Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Beijing. The card is headlined by a bantamweight clash between Xi Jian and Yadong Song, while Adrian Pang squares off against Vincent Latoel in a lightweight co-main event.
It is unclear when and where One FC plans to hold its second Chinese event.
“I’m absolutely blown away by the incredible response by fans, partners and sponsors in mainland China. We’ve decided to add an additional event in China this year to ensure that our fans get what they want, making it a total of 2 events in mainland China in 2014,” Cui wrote.
Once FC’s next offering, “Battle of Lions,” takes place on Nov. 7 at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, and is headlined by a middleweight title bout between Leandro Ataides and Igor Svirid.
