One Fighting Championship continues to bolster its roster, as the Singapore-based promotion announced that it has signed Roger Gracie to a multi-bout deal.
In addition to Gracie, One FC revealed the addition of six other fighters: Rafael Atilho, Warren de Reuck, Michal Pasternak, Timofey Nastyukhin, Igor Svirid and Anatpong Bunrad.
Gracie, a 10-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, has not competed since losing a unanimous decision to Tim Kennedy at UFC 162 in July 2013. Prior to his lone Octagon appearance, the 32-year-old Rio de Janeiro native posted a 4-1 mark with Strikeforce, earning triumphs over the likes of Kevin Randleman, Trevor Prangley and Keith Jardine.
One FC’s next event is set for Aug. 29 at the Dubai World Trade Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Entitled “Reign of Champions,” One FC 19 features a pair of title bouts: Reigning lightweight champ Shinya Aoki faces Kamal Shalorus, while Nobutatsu Suzuki defends the 170-pound strap against Ben Askren.
