Ortiz OK After Accident, Rolls Royce Not

Tito Ortiz admitted on his Twitter account that he cried a little after crashing his Rolls Royce over the weekend.

“It was just a mistake, a mistake on my part,” Ortiz explained on Bruce Buffer’s “It’s Time” show on the Sherdog Radio Network. “I should have been paying attention a little more. I’ve just been crazy busy just going back and forth, and for just one little second stopped paying attention and it made the biggest difference. It cost me.”

Actually, it cost Ortiz’s insurance company, the fighter clarified. After initially Tweeting that he would be covering the accident out of pocket, he said on Buffer’s show that his insurance would indeed be taking care of it.

More importantly, no one was injured, and Ortiz’s UFC 133 headlining bout against Rashad Evans on Aug. 6 is still a go.

“Thank God no one got injured,” Ortiz said. “Thank God I was OK. The person that I rear-ended was OK. Jacob [Ortiz’s son] was in the car with me, and that was my number one thing that kind of scared the hell out of me, but no problems at all with him.”
